Volleyball!
That’s right, my favorite sport is in session once again! Tobin and I are playing in a church league in our brand new gym. It’s a lot of fun, and we are getting to know some of our fellow life group members a little better, which is wonderful! We have had two open gyms, and next week is our first tournament. Pumped!
Tobin starts API on Friday the 30th, one step closer to flying his planes! And I have picked up some new responsibility at work; I am now part of the Scrap Reduction Team (ooo…hold the applause), which is supposed to occupy 50% of my time. I’m learning to adjust my other tasks for this new job. I’m glad I keep getting to learn new things and face new challenges!
And last but NOT least…we are getting a puppy!!!!!!!! I’m so excited, I haven’t been sleeping very well. I have lists made and pretty soon I’m going to be making a call to the vet, I have lots of questions…aaaand, the puppy isn’t even born yet! Haha, I know, I’m ridiculous. We managed to convince our home owner to allow us to get a dog; AND he lowered our rent, which we didn’t think he would do. Also, I finally located a Shiba Inu breeder in Pace, which is seriously 20 minutes from our house. The next closest breeder is around 4 1/2 hours away, so I was very excited to find them! We went out to their kennel to visit and met the parents. The mother is due early February, so late March or early April, we will be getting our puppy, a black and tan Shiba. We chose a male, but we’ll take a female if there aren’t any males in the litter.
Pictures of puppies, so you can smile too!

Congrats on the extra responsibilities at work. I knew you could do it. I am glad they see your potential and know you are an asset to their company.
Oh boy! Another one of our children with a dog. How many homes will be outlawed from visiting? I guess Dad will have to start wearing a gas mask to visit his children. Maybe an oxygen tank. JK
The puppies are cute, but they do get older and bigger. I wish they stayed little. Glad the owners of your house kept their word and let you have a dog like they said in the beginning. PTL for the lower rent. That is always a plus!
Miss you two!

Wow exciting times!
Dan and I highly recommend reading The Dog Whisper by Ceasar Milan. The whole dominance/who’s in charge in the house is totally true. There is a huge difference between George and dogs who know they rule the roost. It’s a good read. I’m sure you library would have it too if you don’t want to buy it.
Don’t get injured playing volleyball! Have loads of fun!

Good stuff – in tough economic times, a dollar saved on rent is as good as a dollar more income and a dollar saved in scrap reduction at work is as good as a dollar more sales.
I take it that the volleyball is co-ed. Don’t embarrass too many guys with your spikes and blocks.
Allergies…I’ve had thee extended visits with George. One was fine, one was awful and one was in the middle. Do have any info on how allergenic that breed is?

Not yet; I will add it to my list of things to check out with the vet!
