from our hearts to yours, a thousand miles away

I know, I know

It’s been a long time!  We are a busy little couple.  In brief, here’s the details (pictures at bottom of post):

  • Went to Ohio for the Memorial Day weekend; took us 12 hours to get there, Titus (who is FOUR months old now) did great, and we had a wonderful time with Tobin’s side of the family.  We saw Mike, Jacque, Bill, Kellan, Jim, Dixie, Dominick, Tom, and Norma Jean.  Betsey and Micah even made it out on Sunday for part of our picnic, and it was great to see them!  I showed them around Troy (it has such a cute downtown!) a little as well.
  • Tobin started primary the day after we got back from Ohio.  He has been in for two weeks now, and is doing awesome!  He is scoring very well on his tests and is studying as we speak for tomorrow’s exam.  He has three this week, keep him in your prayers!  Pretty soon he’ll be starting simulators instead of just classwork.  He got his G-suit and helmet, to explain the photos below.
  • At work, we have been undergoing a major reorganization.  I have a new job now; well, sort of.  At work, my job has been shifted from the facilities side to the production side.  However, I haven’t been told yet who my boss is, so for now I am just continuing to do my current projects.  I should find out (in the words of my old boss) in the next “days or weeks”.  Hm.  It’s encouraging though, and I have received a lot of positive comments that I was NOT expecting.  (my gut feeling was actually that I was going to get laid off when I got called in the office…pleasant surprise!)
  • Went blueberry picking this Saturday with our neighbors (Mike and Jennifer).  It was $1/lb, and there were so many blueberries!  We picked 9 pounds just for us; Mike and Jennifer got another 13 1/2 lbs.  Wow!  We froze all of them and are planning blueberry pancakes, muffins, and pie for the next few weeks!

Now enjoy some pictures:

Not sure everyone is 100% happy about this picture being taken.

Bruvvers.

Cornhole!  If you look really closely, you can see the bag in the air.  It’s gray.  Yeah, I know, I need to build the fam a Michigan set, right?

Look who came to visit!  This is the ONLY picture I had with Micah in it…sorry, bud!

My Buzz!  And puppy…

We saw a rainbow on our way back!  We could see both ends, it was HUGE!

What I look like in full flight gear 5x’s too big!

The real flying guy.  Uniform looks a little better on him, huh?

He’s flying!

Ok, that’s it for now!  Putting pictures on here is exhausting.  We’ll try to keep you all better posted. Check out the “about us” page for some updated info about primary/intermediate/advanced training.

Oh, and for some GREAT pictures of Titus, check out my facebook album “El Perro”.  If you’re not friends with me on facebook, just ask!  If you’re some crazy lunatic, don’t bother!  Thanks, looking forward to a WEDDING IN JULY!!!  Congratulations, sister dearest!

I thought there might be defense department budget cuts, but I had no idea Tobin would have to fly without a plane. Looks like he is good at it, though. :-)

    Thanks for a fun update.

Love the pictures and the update. I am jealous that you can pick blueberries already. Must be the southern exposure (lol). When you make the pancakes, etc., let us know – we’ll be there in time for breakfast.

See you soon – four weeks minus two days. Loveyoutwo!
