Happy Birthday, Titus!
January 30, 2010…Titus’s first birthday! We celebrated by making him a cake…ok, I made the cake. Tobin thought it was all a little silly. But here are the dogs enjoying their carrot/peanut butter cake with plain yogurt frosting!
Here’s the two scalliwags:
Here’s what they do when they get a soft squeaky toy:
Don’t worry, they got the squeaker out!
Also, I received my green belt in 6Sigma from Pall! Here’s the green belt, certificate, and award to prove it! I had to give a presentation at a “roadshow” Pall had at a local hotel. There was a vice president there as well, and some other bigwigs. I was in a group of about 13 other people who got green belts that day. The presentation was supposed to be 1 minute long, so it wasn’t a big deal to talk for that long. But I am very excited to be done with this project and to finally have a green belt. :)
Tobin is doing very well in training, something like 13 events left. He has a flight scheduled tomorrow, but has recently been canceled due to weather, so we’ll see if he gets to fly or not. He’s been enjoying a few days off, although he’s studying most of the time and he also worked a night shift, so he didn’t really have time “off”. We’re looking forward to the winging ceremony, hopefully coming up within a month’s time!

CONGRATULATIONS on the green belt!
Good job, Tobin!
Fun times with your dogs! Happy Birthday, Titus!

Your dogs are REAL cute! Do they not wear collars when they’re in the house?? And were you aware of what was going on with the soft squeaky toy, or was that a surprise you came home to? Big difference.
Nice job with the dog-friendly cake. Very cute!
Congrats on the green belt! I had no idea you were working toward something like that. And I am so proud of you, speaking in front of so many important people! I know you’ve given speeches before, but I’m sure it’s always hard to conquer a fear.
Tobin is working so hard, poor thing. I hope that ceremony comes quickly for him! I’m excited for him to finally have his plane and be doing what he’s been working toward for so long.
I love you and miss you two! (and the lil guys)

Mom…thanks! It’s nice to finally have something to show for my work! I think Tobin’s doing a pretty great job, too. And I told Titus what you said. He seemed pretty impressed.
Buzz…thanks! I like ‘em. No, they don’t wear collars in the house, mainly because they used to 24/7 and their fur was wearing off where the collar was. So I’ve started taking the collars off. I also knew they liked to tear into the soft toys, but had left the room for a few minutes and came back to that picture! Oh puppies.
We’re looking forward to the winging ceremony too! It will mark the end of a long line of Tobin’s achievements, and the beginning of the next phase in our lives!
