Tobin finished his last test in ground school today. He has his first flight tomorrow (no rest for the weary!) and may possibly have a cross country this weekend. He is busy busy busy! I wanted to thank all of you for supporting him, I know it has been an encouragement to him. The weeks he spends flying are generally the most stressful, so these next two weeks or so are pretty huge. Once he finishes his final check ride (or solo, not sure what the last flight is), Intermediate will be complete!
I will try to post some cute pictures soon. My computer is making a horrid noise; I’m hoping it sticks around a couple more years, so that’s not good!
Things are really moving along at work. There is plenty of work to keep me busy and I am feeling challenged each day. It looks like things might be looking up in terms of demand, and we are re-hiring after some of the recent layoffs.
It’s a little premature, but I am getting psyched for the holidays already! It looks like we might have a lengthy Thanksgiving holiday in Ohio and an equally work-free holiday for Christmas. Plus we get to see family!
Oh, and on a side note…I wouldn’t put this past my family…did someone sign us up for something baby-related? I am getting baby mail left and right. One was reminding me to register my new family member (for what, I don’t know) and another was a baby magazine. Someone’s laying down some hints, and they’re not too subtle!
Also, we bought a (nicely discounted) grill! Our very first, the propane type. The store was sold out, so we bought the model; and have already broken a piece. Darn. And we don’t have propane yet. But sometime soon, we will be able to grill out on our little patio!
Funny you should break things. That seems to be me lately. I broke my measuring cup that was only 30 years old. I broke a drawer in Dad’s organizer. I broke the front porch light (at least we can’t get it to work anymore). I guess I better quit touching things, or trying to fix something and eventually breaking it.
Good job, Tobin! We ARE proud of you! All that studying you are doing gives ME a headache. But, you are like Tim and LOVE it. Congratulations!
Anxious to see pictures too.
More speaking of breaking…our oven died. But I didn’t have anything to do with that, I guess. So now, do we repair or get new?
What a team you two are. Erin doing SO well in the run you competed in, and Tobin zooming through school and doing it all so well. Congratulations!!
what?! tobin & erin are having a baby?!…..i’m spreading it.
haha just kidding, but I know the feeling
i’ll be praying for tobin today right along w/ ben—ben has his first t-1 flight today too!
plan on me calling you soon!
Yay for Tobin! You both are in our prayers often! I’m so glad work is keeping you busy. I’m trying to do the same!
It was going to be a secret until Christmas, but I guess who know now! Enjoy the freebies!
Congratulations, Tobin!
One of my classmates is a retired Ari Force Doctor. She now runs a medical education mission. She has an MD and two masters degrees (one from here in Bioethics and one from Harvard in I don’t know what). She is doing the PhD in Education because her duties are now educational. Talk about liking to study…
